Dr. Tracy Filler
General Dentist with practice limited to children’s dentistry
Dr. Filler received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from UC Davis in 1998. She attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2003. Upon graduating dental school, she chose to continue her education and training in general practice residency at Rochester General Hospital in New York.
In 2005, Dr. Filler moved back to California to continue her passion for serving the underserved children in Yuba City. during many hot summer months, she traveled with her dental van to the fields and treated hundreds of the farmer’s children. She volunteered her free time at the Health Department and the Bright Future oral health screenings. She gave presentations at school, on the radio and television to help children learn about dental growth and development, and how to avoid future dental problems.
Dr. Filler worked closely with the county commissioner’s office, school superintendent and First Five program coordinator to offer the highest quality care to her young patients. Her dental program won the 2006 Counties Care for Kids Award from the National Association of Counties and the 2006 California State Association of Counties Challenge Award.
In 2008 Dr. Filler moved to the Bay Area and joined Children’s Dental Center in San Jose. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and Santa Clara County Dental Society. She volunteers annually at Give Kids A Smile and CDA Cares. Outside of the office, Dr. Filler enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, practicing yoga, and cooking.
